"After the festival is before the festival" - every first weekend in August we celebrate Bean to Bar Chocolate, presented by the best chocolate makers of the Bean to Bar scene within the grand walls of an 800 year old castle!

What is the EuroBean?

The EuroBean is the first European chocolate festival where everything revolves around making (and of course enjoying) handmade chocolate straight from the cocoa bean - 100% Bean to Bar. And because we know that good cultivation and production conditions are essential for the creation of good products, the philosophy of the EuroBean is based on the following four pillars:

• Bean to Bar
• Fair Trade
• Meet the Makers
• Best Organic Food

All around the many chocolate attractions, there will be live concerts, handicraft workshops for the little visitors and much more, as well as a varied programme for the whole family, making the EuroBean an exciting event for all ages, and not just for chocolate experts.

Who is Choco Del Sol?

Choco Del Sol stands for passionately handmade chocolate from the best ingredients. Head and heart of Choco Del Sol and initiator of the EuroBean Chocolate Festival is Patrick Walter, who runs a bean to bar manufactory with his wife Peggy on the picturesque Rochsburg Castle in Lunzenau (Saxony). For his chocolate he only uses the best cocoa beans, which he purchases directly.
