EuroBean - Press release 2018

A chocolaty festival for the whole family - The EuroBean Chocolate Festival 2018

In summer, Rochsburg Castle opens its doors again to chocolate lovers. Whether weekend excursion or special holiday experience - from 3rd to 5th August 2018 the 3rd EuroBean Chocolate Festival is the perfect destination for a successful weekend.

The event is all about high-quality handmade chocolates from the cocoa bean to the bar (bean-to-bar), fair trade and organic farming.

Under the motto "Meet the Maker", visitors will have the opportunity on 4th and 5th August 2018 from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. to not only taste the finest chocolates, but also get to know their origins and the makers of the sweet treats.

This year the festival is even more international than ever before. In addition to the exhibitors who are now regular guests, such as Josef Zotter from Austria, Mãnoa Chocolate from faraway Hawaii, the Spreewälder Chocolate Manufactory Edelmond, Herufek Chocolate from the Czech Republic and the Coco Caravan Manufactory based in England, this year some new top-class bean-to-bar chocolate makers from America (Dandelion Chocolate and Parliament Chocolate), Canada (Sirene Chocolate) and Sweden (Svenska Kakaobolaget) will enrich the EuroBean Chocolate Festival. Of course the chocolate manufacturer with home advantage "Choco Del Sol" will be there again, without which the EuroBean would not exist. In addition to established greats, the festival also offers space for newcomers, such as the Bean-to-Bar manufactory Tafelwerk from Dresden, which was founded in March of this year.

Families will be particularly pleased about the varied entertainment programme for young and old. The children can look forward to a chocolate rally, drum workshop, puppet theatre and other exciting activities, while the adults can indulge in delicious tastings, workshops and various performances.

If you want to enjoy the EuroBean Chocolate Festival before everyone else, you should make a note of the big opening ceremony, the "Grand Opening", on Friday evening, 3rd August 18th.
