EuroBean ‘delegation’ visits Zotter Chocolates in Austria

During the last wonderful summer weeks, a small delegation from the EuroBean Chocolate Festival visited the Zotter chocolate factory in Riegersburg, Austria - and what was originally planned as a short detour quickly turned out to be an intensive weekend of indulgence. From Saturday to Monday, we explored the premises and were fascinated by the world around Zotter, which is truly a paradise for chocolate fans.

Zotter's glass factory extends over three floors, where you can follow every step of the chocolate-making process. Over 300 flavours are waiting to be tasted and works of art can be found all over the premises, making the experience even more extraordinary. The walk-through zoo and the ‘cemetery of ideas’ are also particularly worth mentioning - a place that invites you to linger and discover.

So it's no wonder that we extended our time on site. A day trip to Zotter can easily turn into a weekend experience, as we discovered for ourselves. The region around Riegersburg, in beautiful Styria, is a true gourmet region that makes the visit even more unforgettable.

Naturally, we invited Julia Zotter, the daughter of founder and creative visionary Josef Zotter, to the EuroBean Chocolate Festival 2025 in Chemnitz. But many words were not necessary - Zotter has been an integral part of EuroBean since 2016, and we can look forward to her unique creations again next year.

So if you can't make it to Riegersburg, you'll have the perfect opportunity to get to know Zotter and her delicious chocolate creations in person in August 2025. The EuroBean Chocolate Festival in Chemnitz from 1 to 3 August 2025 will once again offer everything chocolate lovers could wish for - and Zotter will be there as one of the top exhibitors.
